TUNNEL 43 by Emma McAninch

5 hours before the fall of the Berlin Wall, a group of friends are preparing for a routine run through Tunnel 43, in an attempt to bring a group of East Berliners safely under the wall to West Berlin. When their plan goes horribly wrong, the group is forced to reconcile with tragedy, and secrets about its members come out that change them forever.

The film is separated into six chapters, based on the medically defined stages for alcoholic intoxication, which goes as follows: intoxication, euphoria, excitement, confusion, stupor, and veisalgia. Using a dual perspective format, Enmeshment chronicles Jamie and Marion’s night out from each of their point of views when their codependent dynamic gets tested as they become increasingly more intoxicated, playing both characters’ perspectives at the same exact time.
